London Councils Posts: Ending Homelessness Accelerator Programme

Want to take a leading role in accelerating efforts to end homelessness in London?

In the last 15 months, London Councils has been working with the Greater Local Authority, London Boroughs and partners, to develop a new programme to accelerate efforts to end homelessness in London. We are committed to transforming the homelessness system from crisis management to sustainable prevention.

The London Ending Homelessness Accelerator programme is now in mobilisation phase and we are looking to recruit to a highly motivated and talented cross-organisation delivery team, that will take forward implementation.

Role Responsibility

The postholder will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and delivery of the London Ending Homelessness Accelerator Programme working collaboratively with the Greater London Authority (GLA), London Housing Directors’ Group, local authorities, and a range of key partners.

As a key delivery agent, they will lead pan-London coordination of strategic prevention initiatives, held within a regional Prevention Plan of Action and governed through the Ending Homelessness Accelerator Programme. By providing expert policy guidance and delivery support, they will help drive a strategic shift towards prevention, aiming to reduce homelessness and rough sleeping across London.

This is a strategic programme management position, to manage and enable delivery among boroughs and stakeholders, fostering robust collaboration, encouraging innovation, and facilitating the scaling of evidence-based practices throughout the capital.

They will represent the Programme at key meetings and forums, building strong partnerships across local government, the voluntary and community sector, and national bodies to embed sustainable, preventative approaches to ending homelessness in London.

This is a politically restricted post, under Section 2 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989.

Our Recruitment Approach

All applications will be processed using a blind sifting method. This means that personal identifying details will be removed to ensure fair and unbiased shortlisting of applications.

The panel sees only the anonymised generated CV that Tribepad builds from the Education and Employment History sections of the application form.
Uploading a personal CV is optional and only helps auto-populate these sections - it does not replace completing them.
Please ensure these sections are fully completed. If they’re left blank, key information won’t appear in the anonymised pack and fair review becomes harder.

Your full details and original CV are not shared with the panel until after the shortlist is agreed and you are invited to interview.

We are committed to equal opportunities and encourage applications from all backgrounds. Reasonable adjustments will be made to support candidates during the recruitment process.
